The Worldwide ERC® Coalition – Center for Governmental Issues – is the source for all employee mobility related tax and legal information and advocacy.

As a Center for Governmental Issues, the Coalition offers numerous channels for employee mobility-related tax and legal information and reference tools, including an index of topics, periodic alerts and updates, and grassroots bulletins that report on state developments. In addition, the Tax and Legal MasterSource is a subscription-based, in-depth reference tool that brings to your desktop detailed, searchable information on industry issues like state and federal tax code, homesale assistance programs, disclosure, agency relationships, environmental concerns and more. The Tax and Legal MasterSource is available on a subscription basis to non-Worldwide ERC® members/Coalition contributors. Organizations contributing to the Coalition at a level of $1,000 or more annually are entitled to at least one complimentary login/password, depending on contribution level. Annual subscriptions may also be purchased at the rate of $795 for Worldwide ERC® members, and $1,195 for non-members.

A real estate referral fee is a portion of a broker’s commission paid to another licensed party that provided either a listing or selling prospect to that broker. An important part of our work is to ensure such referral fee programs are properly understood and implemented. Read more..

We’ve developed industry practices for and standardization of referral fee programs and worked to eliminate improper “after-the-fact” referral fee requests through education and resolution. Whether a Coalition contributor of not, if you think you’re being asked to pay a referral fee unfairly, use the Interchange to submit a free, confidential complaint.

The Coalition serves as the relocation industry’s hub of legislative monitoring, activity, relationship-building and information sharing. But we can’t be successful alone. We also depend on concerned individuals to keep the wheels of our government relations activities in motion and to strengthen our reach across state and local communities.
